VICTORIA, AUSTRALIA — 1 August 2026 — goldenSoftwareENGINEERS®, the technology company behind snapWONDERS, today announced that its platform has been rebuilt on new foundations. The work consolidates services that grew up separately into a single system with one account, one API, and identical capability on the clearnet, Tor and I2P.
The rebuild is deliberately unglamorous. Nothing is being taken away, and most of it should be invisible to the people using it.
What has changed
One account for everything. Analysis, conversion and concealment previously sat behind separate paths that had accumulated their own conventions. They now share a single account and a single session, across every network the platform serves.
A unified API. The application programming interface has been consolidated so that a developer integrating one service has learned the shape of all of them. The published specification and client libraries cover the platform rather than individual corners of it.
Full parity on the darknet. snapWONDERS has been reachable over Tor since 2020 and over I2P since 2022. Those were previously partial experiences. The rebuilt platform serves the same features to a visitor on an onion address as to one on the clearnet — including resilient, resumable uploads, which matter considerably more on a network where connections drop.
Concealment became snapWONDERS Vaultify. The functions previously described as fix, scrub, sanitise and regenerate are now part of Vaultify, the company's steganography service for hiding files invisibly inside photos and videos.
What has not changed
Existing functionality remains available. Some page addresses have moved as sections were rebuilt, and where an address changed the old one redirects to its replacement rather than failing. The visual design is being refreshed incrementally rather than in a single disruptive release.
"The temptation with a rebuild is to announce a new thing," said Kenneth Springer, founder of snapWONDERS. "This is the opposite. It is the same work, on foundations that will not need apologising for in five years — and the measure of success is that most people never notice it happened."
